Yonezawa is the northernmost textile producing area in Japan.
It began in 1776 when a weaver was called from Echigo and the weaving method was taught throughout the family.
Cultivation of mulberries and sericulture became popular, and linen fabrics and linen/silk mixed weaving became silk fabrics.
Yonezawa's weaving technology continues to receive high praise both domestically and internationally.
Shop owner Reiko has selected products from Yonezawa's textiles that are perfect for KAPUKI.

KAPUKI's popular autumn/winter kimono ``Yone Ori Komon'' is a product that expresses a classic komon pattern by making use of the characteristics of Yonezawa Ori: ``fine count,'' ``yarn dyeing,'' and ``pattern weaving.''
This 100% cotton kimono is especially recommended for the lining season, as it is wrinkle-resistant and has a gentle texture.

This time, the newly arrived Juyo Tsumugi "Hibiki" uses pure natural silk thread from silkworms and pongee thread for the weft, giving it a shiny yet soft texture.

In addition, it will be a period where you can see a wide variety of products woven in Yonezawa, which are sure to be useful for special moments in everyday life, New Year's celebrations, and various other occasions.
