Hondaya Genbei “Princess Wisteria”
"Princess Wisteria"
The back of the wisteria that spreads across the back is an eye-catching obi.
This is a piece that expresses the pattern of a cloisonné vase, which is a work of the Meiji period, as an obi.
The handle in front of the body is the mouth of the vase.
Black lacquer is used for the obi to express the depth of cloisonné ware.
