Hondaya Genbei “Unrelenting Fudo”
"Never giving up"
A damaged and tattered fan that floats in the pitch-black darkness.
The torn fan, which nevertheless defends and fights, never loses its essentials, represents an indomitable spirit.
No matter how the world and the times change, we hope that beautiful things will appeal to people's eyes and hearts and remain in the next world for a long time.
A lacquered Saga Nishiki fabric woven with pure silver, platinum thread, and Koishimaru silk.
Koishimaru: One of the silkworm varieties. This variety is used for the Empress's parent silkworms at the imperial sericulture farm, producing very fine, high-quality silk. For a time in the Showa period, it was considered to stop breeding, but Empress Michiko, who was the Crown Princess at that time, insisted on keeping it and continued breeding.
