Hondaya Genbei "Koishimaru Keicho Wakamatsu sentence"
"Koishimaru Keicho Wakamatsu Bun"
An obi that expresses the overwhelming beauty of classics with the Wakamatsu pattern woven with delicate Karaori.
Koishimaru threads are used for the plums of the taiko drum.
Koishimaru: One of the silkworm varieties. This variety is used for the Empress's parent silkworms at the imperial sericulture farm, producing very fine, high-quality silk. For a time in the Showa period, it was considered to stop breeding, but Empress Michiko, who was the Crown Princess at that time, insisted on keeping it and continued breeding.
