Hondaya Genbei "Nine-inch obi Homareza weave fern stage"
"Nine-inch obi Homareza weave fern step"
Homareza-ori sash with horizontal rows of fern on a white background.
Fern teeth are white and have spores, so they are used as auspicious patterns for the prosperity of descendants.
Homareza-ori: By using hand-pulled threads called seat-reeling instead of reeling by machine, the fabric becomes puffy as if it were wrapped in air.
We use Akebono cocoons produced in Japan, and are particular about reeling in Nomura Town, Ehime Prefecture.
