Woven from Asoyo and silk, "Futari Shizuka" is attractive for its nuanced fabric that combines different materials.
Asayo: Hemp cloth has been an essential part of Japanese life since ancient times.
However, after World War II, domestic cultivation was restricted, and it has now become a "fabric that the Japanese have forgotten" and is no longer in general circulation.
Kondaya Genbei revived this hemp cloth into clothing for modern Japanese people, and this is what became known as "Asamyo."
