Nagoya Obi "Ippon Tokko Black and White" Nishimura Orimono: Hassun | Hakata Ori | Presentation pattern | Pure silk (tailoring fee included)

Sale price71,500円(税込)

The Hakata 8-inch obi ``Ippon Tokko'' is made by Nishimura Orimono, a long-established Hakata store that has been in business for 160 years since the Edo period.
Easy to match with any kimono color or pattern, the obi obi has a classic pattern and is a standard item at KAPUKI.
The Tokko pattern is a motif of an esoteric Buddhism ritual tool used to destroy worldly desires and express the bodhisattva mind.
By using an abundance of thin warp threads and driving them in with thick weft threads, we create a thick fabric with horizontal ribs, which prevents slipping, makes it easy to tighten, and makes the obi obi difficult to loosen.
