Nagoya Obi “Ippon Tokko Black and White” Nishimura Orimono: Hassun | Hakata Ori | Presentation pattern | Pure silk (tailoring fee included)
The Hakata 8-inch obi ``Ippon Tokko'' is made by Nishimura Orimono, a long-established Hakata store that has been in business for 160 years since the Edo period.
Easy to match with any kimono color or pattern, the obi obi has a classic pattern and is a standard item at KAPUKI.
The Tokko pattern is a motif of an esoteric Buddhism ritual tool used to destroy worldly desires and express the bodhisattva mind.
By using plenty of thin warp threads and driving in thick weft threads, a thick fabric with horizontal ridges is created.
This makes the belt non-slip, easy to tighten, and difficult to loosen.
