Corner obi “Jokenjo” Nishimura Orimono:
: Hakataori | Pure silk
We selected crisp colors typical of KAPUKI from traditional ceremonial patterns.
It can be used with a wide range of coordination, from denim kimonos to yukatas.
The kenjo pattern is a pattern made with the motif of the Buddhist utensils dokko and hanazara, with parent-child stripes and filial piety stripes in between. It is said to be used as a talisman to ward off evil spirits, to ward off misfortune, to protect one's family, and to ensure the prosperity of one's descendants, and it came to be called kenjo-gara because it was offered as an offering to the shogunate during the Edo period.
