美しいアラベスク（唐草）模様がひときわ目を引く『麻世妙（まよたえ）』の着物。
蔓や葉が流れるように絡み合う唐草は、繁栄や長寿を象徴する吉祥文様です。
日本人にはあまり知られていない「大麻布」。
実は縄文時代、日本列島には大麻が群生し、生活用品や食品として幅広く用いられていました。
また大麻は「聖なる植物」とされ、神道の祭祀では「おおぬさ」として神に捧げられ、現在も神殿の麻紐や縄として使われています。
「麻世妙」は、約3年にわたる研究と試行錯誤の末、数百年前の大麻布を思わせる豊かな風合いとしてよみがえりました。
夏の麻着物のイメージとは異なり、しっとりと柔らかな肌触りで、冬は暖かく、夏は涼しく、通年お召しいただけます。
