Silk Asoyo Arabesque Pattern Black/Black Lacquer (KAPUKI x Kondaya Genbei): Single Layer/Lined Layer/Hemp Fabric

Sale price242,000円(税込)

Silk Aso-myo with KAPUKI's original arabesque pattern.
Black lacquer is used for the patterned parts.

The beautiful arabesque pattern of this Mayotae kimono is particularly eye-catching.
Arabesque is an auspicious pattern in which vines and leaves intertwine gracefully, symbolizing eternal prosperity and longevity.
We use high-quality hemp fabric woven with 100% hemp thread.

Hemp cloth is not well known among Japanese people.
In fact, during the Jomon period, hemp grew in abundance across the Japanese archipelago and was widely used as a household item and food.
Cannabis is also considered a "sacred plant" and is offered to the gods as "Oonusa" in Shinto rituals, and is still used today as hemp string and rope in shrines.

After approximately three years of research and trial and error, "Masyotei" has been revived with a rich texture reminiscent of hemp cloth from hundreds of years ago.
Unlike the image of summer linen kimonos, these kimonos have a moist and soft texture, are warm in winter and cool in summer, and can be worn all year round.

The colors are black on a natural background and black on a KAPUKI special color.
The white background is gorgeous, while the black background is stylish.

Warm in winter and cool in summer. Come experience the unique comfort that you won't find anywhere else.
