The "haori" collection is an evolution of the popular denim kimono and can be worn by anyone over their usual outfits.
KAPUKI denim kimonos are made in Japan by denim artisans in Okayama.
We commissioned the denim brand FDMTL (Fundamental) to focus on the fabric and washing process, and to create a look that allows the stitching to show, in order to achieve the texture that only authentic denim can offer.
Kimono are easy to care for and can be enjoyed in a similar way to Western clothing.
