The "Yosekomon pattern" was popular during the Edo period and is still a staple today. The pattern is created by greedily dyeing several types of intricate Edo Komon patterns together, allowing you to enjoy the changes in the shading of the pattern while also being useful as a plain-looking kimono.
The KAPUKI special order "Wave Komon" yukata was dyed by Ishizuka Kumiko, the fifth generation designer of the yukata brand "Kataume" and Edo Komon dyeing artisan, using Ise Katagami paper that she came across by fate while searching for such a komon pattern.
The two types of fine wave patterns are boldly cut diagonally to create a sophisticated and stylish look. The fabric is a cotton-linen fabric with a crisp feel, giving it a cool texture that is perfect for summer.
